On The Priority Of The Greens Ecological Concept Of Ecological Civilization

Since the founding of the first European Green Party——Green Party of the United Kingdom in 1973, the Green Party has played an very important influence on the European society and gradually become a powerful political force in less than 20 years. The reason why the Green Parties have developed so rapidly in Europe is that they put forward a series of policies and proposals which contribute greatly to promoting green development of the European economy and the harmonious development of European society.The Green Party has made brilliant achievements and social benefits since its establishment and development. Especially,the values it persisted pose new challenges to people's traditional communication and life style, and they are significant in solving the conflict between man and nature. Among these values, the eco-priority concept insisted by the Green Party is one of the most important value principle. The goal of eco-priority concept is to achieve ecological and green social development, therefore, its advocates all human economic activities should be based on people's basic needs and must comply with the ecosystem approach and ecological requirements in order to maintain the natural ecological sustainability, achieving the harmonious development with nature. We can say that the concept of ecological priority put forward by the Green Party not only had a significant impact on contemporary Europe's economic and social life in all aspects but also had produced a more or less direct or indirect impact on the entire world development patterns and norms of international relations.On October 2007, the Communist Party's 17th meeting was held in Beijing successfully. The main meeting report said that to achieve the goal of building a moderately prosperous society's new demands, and stressed,"Building a conservation culture by basically forming an energy resources and protecting the environment structure, growth and consumption patterns, making larger circular economy and keeping share of renewable energy increased significantly, making major pollutants under effective control and keeping environmental quality improved significantly. The concept of ecological civilization should be firmly established in society."Therefore, that we figure out the main ideas of the eco-priority concept insisted by the Green Party as well as its impact on contemporary European society is of great significance for the full understanding and grasp the impact of the eco-priority concept on the whole world. At the same time, it's also helpful for our country to absorb and learn the basic idea and opinion of the eco-priority concept from the Green Party in the socialist modernization construction to build a harmonious society and realize sustainable development.
