Chemiluminescence(CL) means the emission of visible light with a chemical reaction. A CL system composed of the oxalate, fluorescer and peroxide is called Peroxy-Oxalate Chemiluminescence(POCL) that has been a most productive one. In addition to the advantages like high CL efficiency, strong illuminating intensity and long illuminating lifetime, POCL owns variable illuminating performance and changeable colors through selecting or alternating components, which makes it widely applied in research and developing of CL sources and the CL analysis. Rauhut and Schuster have made sufficient research on the synthesis and experimental application of the oxalates and fluorescers, however, few studies related to the influence of systematic environment and group effect on CL efficiency have been done.Nine kinds of oxalates and ammonium oxalate with different substituent groups have been studied. Compared with their luminous intensity and luminescence lifetime, the influence of substituent groups'properties and location has been discussed. This paper chooses the CL system consists of CPPO, red fluorescer and peroxide as object and discusses the best dosage of the system's various components from the qualitative and quantitative point. And choose this system as object, the impact of temperature, surface-active agent, colloidal substances and metal ions has been studied. Based on the studied of these factors, the mechanism of their effect has been discussed.
