With the widely use of gas stoves, various types of domestic gas stove have appeared on the market. Some of these have some very good points, such as, eye-pleasing and beautiful design. But the existing fuel gas cookware has own structure reason, for example, the stove body radiates in a big way, the thermal efficiency is low and the fuel gas combustion is not full. These are all puzzling the user. Therefore, the study of gas stoves for energy-saving and environmental protection becomes necessary. At present, the development of domestic gas stove industriers rely mainly on experimental methods. Each time changing the structure will require a large number of experiments to get results. Numerical simulation offers a large number of useful help for optimization design of the new structure, shorten the project period and reduced cost. This article stimulates the combustion heat of gas stove in order to investigate the thermal efficiency.Through the numerical simulation on the process of heating the frying pan and pointed bottom boiler on the domestic gas stove, the velocity field, temperature and concentration field are analyzed, and the feasibility of combustion simulation is proved excellently. Then the thermal efficiency of the heating frying pan and pointed bottom boiler is obtained respectively by the simulation. As a result of heating different pots by the same gas stove, on the basis, there are three main parameters, including the pot rack height, the swirl angle and the cone angle, which have influence on the thermal efficiency of gas stove, are analyzed respectively. The influence of the three main parameters on the thermal efficiency is analyzed by using the orthogonal design. And the optimal combinations of parameters are obtained.By optimizing, optimal parameter combinations are respectively, the pot rack height of 22mm,the swirl angle of 45°and the cone angle of 45°, when the frying pan is heating by gas stove. Optimal parameter combinations are respectively the pot rack height of 12 mm,the swirl angle of 35°and the cone angle of 45°, when the pointed bottom boiler is heating by gas stove. By using of the different structure and shape of the gas stove to heat the pot in different burning combinations, it could greatly improve the thermal efficiency of gas stoves and achieve energy efficient.
