The thesis mainly contains three parts: 1. Characterization of the catalyst CB[7]-Na Cl-Pd Cl2 which is efficient for the Suzuki-Miyaura cross coupling reation of benzyl halides and arylboronic acids. In the former studies, our group have found that the catalyst system CB[7]-Na Cl-Pd Cl2 could catalyze the cross coupling reaction of benzyl halides and arylboronic acids with potent efficiency(Scheme 1). Scheme 1 the cross coupling reaction of benzyl halides and arylboronic acids catalyzed by CB[7]-Na Cl-Pd Cl2 The study not only provided a method to synthesize diarylmethane derivatives, but also would be a significant addition to the research of supramolecular chemistry based on macrocyclic components. In the second chapter, we explored the possible interaction model of CB[7]-Na Cl-Pd Cl2 and the reason why it could accelerate the cross coupling reaction of benzyl halides and arylboronic acids. 2. Complex(Pd Cl2)x(K2CO3)y(DMF)z catalyze the cross coupling reaction of benzyl chlorides and arylboronic acids. During the above research, we discovered that Pd Cl2 in DMF could also catalyze the cross coupling reaction of benzyl chlorides and arylboronic acids by serendipity. Then we screened and got the optimum conditions: 1.0 mol% of Pd Cl2 in presence of K2CO3 in DMF/H2O(4:1) for 1h at 90 ℃under air atmosphere. 24 different diarylmethane derivatives were synthesized under the optimized conditions.
