Design And Implementation Of Distributed Oil Well Flow Metering System

At the scene of the oilfield, the oil well distribution is relatively dispersed within a few kilometers or even a few tens of kilometers. Workers need to visit the site to read the instruments for obtaining the measured results, which is not conducive for the online monitoring. This paper develops a distributed oil well flow network measurement system along with the development of the technology of digital oilfield. The system is efficient for the determination of well produced fluid volume and for the location of the well geography when multiple distributed cases is considered. This system also provides a variety of security measure for enhancing the digitization, networking and centralized monitoring.The GPRS wireless module is used as a data transmission tool in this paper, and Ethernet is selected for the communication with the local control system. A one-to-many communication UDP broadcast mode is adopted which is relatively independent and easy to implement. To realize the sharing of the well flow measurement information, the ultrasonic doppler flow meter is employed to measure the flow, and the MAPX is used as the secondary development of GIS controls, then the oil well is well located through the operation of the oil well latitude and longitude.A well distributed flow measurement system software based on the Visual C++ is developed, which can realize the location of the distributed oil well and the management of the traffic information, etc. Finally, analysis of the experimental data is conducted and the processing of error analysis shows that the method can reduce the random error and improve the accuracy of the system.The implementation of the distributed oil well flow metering system is very useful, for it can not only realize the well location, the query and statistics output of the historical information, the real-time information and other functions, but can also provide the details of the well flow information at any time. Besides, it will be convenient for the managers to understand each oil well production situation in a timely manner.
