Studies On The Bleaching And Water-based Coating Process Of Modified Fast-growing Poplar For Furniture

This paper will take the modified fast-growing poplar as the object of study, studying and determining its bleaching process and water-based finishing process. For the bleaching process,we first select the main bleach from 6 groups of bleach combination, then optimize the extraction of NaOH prior to bleach and finally determine the bleaching process for modified fast-growing poplar. For the water-based finishing process, separately studies are conducted on the amount of coating and the effect of the number of times of coating by water sealer primer, primer and topcoat on the surface color, paint gloss and paint adhesion of modified fast-growing poplar, from which the water-based coating process of it is determined. The process determined by the experiment will be applied in the modified fast-growing poplar furniture, in order to test the feasibility of the bleaching process and water-based coating process.The conclusion of the study indicates that:①H2O2 can significantly raise the whiteness of modified fast-growing poplar, and can be used as the main bleach for poplar bleaching. ②The best condition for extraction process incorporating low-concentration NaOH is that the concentration of NaOH is 0.3%, and the time period for the process is 12h.③The best bleaching process for modified fast growing poplar is that:using 0.3%NaOH in 12h extraction process, and then brushing a mixture of 30%H2O2 and 25%NH3H2O. H2O2:NH3·H2O:H2O=1:0.2:1.④The coating amount of water-based topcoat has the most significant effect on coat gloss, the coating amount of primer has the most significant effect on coat adhesion, and the number of times of coating by water sealer primer has the most significant effect on both coat gloss and adhesion. ⑤The best conditions for water-based coating process of modified fast-growing poplar:the number of times of finishing by water sealer primer is 2 the number of times of finishing by water sealer primer is 2, the number of times of finishing by finish is 1. the amount of coating of water sealer primer is 120g/m2 in each time, the amount of coating of water-based primer is 140g/m2 and the amount of coating of water-based finish is 140g/m2 in each time. ⑥In comparison with the PU paint finishing, water-based finishing is more suitable for modified fast growing poplar. The furniture made of modified fast growing poplar gone through the bleaching process and the water-based finishing process looks white elegantly and the effect of finishing is good.
