Studies On The Transparent Coating Process Of Modified Fast-growing Poplar For Furniture

This paper focuses on the modified fast-growing poplar for furniture, studying the influence of bleaching and coating by different kinds of paint to the surface color, water-base transparent coating process and coloring process of modified fast-growing poplar. First, the experiment, the influence of bleaching and coating by different kinds of paint to the surface color of modified fast-growing poplar, has been taken to confirm the necessity of bleaching and the better kind of paint suiting for coating modified poplar. Next, the research has been conducted that the influence of the amount of coating and coating times by water-base sealer, primer and topcoat to physical and chemical property of paint film which to confirm the better coating process for plain color transparent coating for modified fast-growing poplar. Final, through the study of the coloring way, the amount of coloring, coloring times, concentration of color paste affecting the surface color of modified fast-growing poplar, the better coloring process and surface color of modified fast-growing poplar after coloring coating can be acquired. The study provides theoretical guidance of transparent coating process for the design research and factory production of modified fast-growing poplar furniture.The conclusion of the study indicates that:①In the plain color and white coloring transparent coating for modified fast-growing poplar, bleaching and coating by water-based paint can maintain and emerge the surface color’s style of plain and simple, and provide the color uniformity in the wood surface; bleaching and coating by PU paint has little influence to surface color. Compared with PU coating, the water-base coating is more suitable for the surface coating of modified fast-growing poplar. ②In water-base coating of modified fast-growing poplar, the amount of topcoat and coating times of topcoat has the significant effect on the gloss of coating film; The amount of sealer and topcoat, coating times of sealer, primer and topcoat has the significant effect on the film adhesion. ③The best conditions for water-base coating process of modified fast-growing poplar:the amount of sealer is 100g/m2, and the coating times of sealer is 2; the amount of primer is 120g/m2, and the coating times of primer is 2; the amount of topcoat is 140g/m2, and the coating times of topcoat is 1. ④The rank of different coloring ways on the basis of texture clarity in descending order:pigment wiping filler coloring, the combination of pigment wiping filler coloring and primer coloring, the combination of pigment wiping filler coloring and topcoat coloring, primer coloring and topcoat coloring. ⑤In water-based paint white coloring process for modified fast-growing poplar, the wiping times has significant effect on color uniformity of wood surface. In the water-based paint brown coloring process for modified fast-growing poplar, wiping times has significant effect on color uniformity and texture clarity of wood surface. ⑥ The best conditions for water-base coating coloring process of modified fast-growing poplar:The coloring way is pigment wiping filler coloring; the amount of coloring is 80g/m2, wiping times is 1.⑦Through the white coloring transparent coating process for modified fast-growing poplar acquired from the study, paste concentration range from 1% to 45% with texture clarity gradually diminishing. Through the brown coloring transparent coating process for modified fast-growing poplar acquired from the study, paste concentration range from 1% to 40% with texture clarity gradually diminishing. The poplar surface color after light color coloring coating has the less range than the poplar surface color after dark color coloring coating. The coloring transparent coating process of light and dark coloring in the actual production process of factory can use the coloring transparent coating process acquire from study as a reference.
