This paper put forward the idea that acid tail gas was governed by using Alkaline waste water containing sodium carbonate from hydrometallurgy process as to the high consumption of Caustic soda and high operation cost of conventional caustic soda absorption desulfurization process, and researched the constituent of Alkaline waste water, the desulfurization mechanism, process and key equipment. And on this basis we studied the static desulfurization test and dynamic desulfurization test of desulfurization by using Alkaline waste water containing sodium carbonate respectively on the carrier of the existing acid tail gas absorption system of Jinchuan group co., LTD. It showed the result that the acid tail gas can be governed effectively to meet the requirements of the standard, even zero emmsions under the suitable technological conditions with Alkaline waste water containing sodium carbonate. Considering the safety production of high quality and efficiency, in the process of industrialization it only need to invest a small amount and reconstruction expense, and add sodium carbonate alkaline wastewater pump, pipes and the necessary valves with sodium carbonate alkaline waste water as absorbent and using the existing off-gas packed tower, which can realize industrialized production in a short time, reduce sodium carbonate alkaline wastewater treatment costs and achieve "using waste treat waste".
