In this thesis, combine with the skiving theory principle and research status, through the finite element simulation software DEFORM-3D, the study is made on skiving technology. Skiving is the transmission mechanism of a kind of technology of worm and gear processing, its biggest characteristic is to be able to realize the non-penetrating internal gear processing.It is a kind of high efficient gear machining method. Skiving bases on spatial helical gear meshing principle, the cutting tool and the workpiece are the spatial axis staggered, to realize the cutting speed of relative movement between the use of axial processing.Firstly, base on the theory of skiving method, the development of the principle of skiving technology has carried on the preliminary research. To gear surface of workpiece forming as a starting point, analyses the method of manufacturing process and the movement of machining proces; According to the movement relations of skiving, the skiving processing coordinate system is established, the relative speed of cutting point is deduced, and the factors influencing the relative motion speed is analyzed.Secondly, considering the skiving process is complex, so this thesis uses the finite element simulation software DEFORM-3D machining process simulation. Skiving cutter and workpiece entity model are set up by using three-dimensional modeling software Pro/E, and imported into DEFORM-3D, according to the characteristics of the gear machining method and the motion relationship,a skiving model for finite element simulation is established.Finally, according to the results of DEFORM-3D simulation datas, the related physical phenomena in the process of simulation is analyzed in this thesis. Respectively obtain the cutting gear surface, extract the curve of the change of cutting force, temperature distribution of cutter and workpiece,and tool wear. According to the principle of metal cutting theory knowledge, get the simulation data of the results of theoretical analysis and detail description, and to compare with previous experimental results, the simulation results demonstrate the validity and reliability. Through the finite element simulation, the process of skiving and related phenomena in the process is analyzed and researched, it provides a guide for theoretical research on the method of further skiving.
