C-S bonds are used as chemical bond that exist in drugs many biologically active compounds. Therefore efficient construction of the C-S bonds is always important research field of organic synthesis methodology. The efficient construction of a C-S bond through transition metal catalysis depends upon harsh conditions. Therefore the methods of C-S bonds construction still needs to further extend. The low cost and nature stability of aliphatic carboxylic acids make them be used as raw materials in organic synthesis. Aliphatic carboxylic acids are employed as substrates and achieve decarboxylative C-S cross-coupling of aliphatic carboxylic acids in the presence of silver salt in the paper.Initially, we select 1,4-benzodioxane-2-carboxylic acid and diphenyl disulfide as model reaction substrates to optimize reaction conditions. Under the optimal reaction conditions, we then explore the scope of aliphatic carboxylic acids and diaryl disulfides, and lists of alkyl aryl sulfides are obtained. Through the study of side reaction, it helps to explain effect of silver nitrate and accounts for the possible reason for using stoichiometric silver nitrate. Finally according to the previous studies, we propose the possible reaction mechanism. The method of silver-mediated decarboxylative C-S bonds efficient construction of aliphatic carboxylic acids is developd in the paper. The reactions are conducted under mild conditions, and primary, secondary, tertiary aliphatic carboxylic acids can successfully decarboxylate to transform the corresponding product. Besides, functional groups are well tolerated...
