Owing to the long icebound season in winter of North part of China, municipal sewage treatment plants under the low temperature environment are facing problems such as microbial activity decrease, treatment effect instable, and effluent water with low quality etc.. This study took hydrolysis-AICS process as research objective, target on observing the pollutant removal efficiency of hydrolysis-AICS process under the low temperature circumstances, and each main structure of municipal sewage’s water temperature changing trends and main pollutant removal efficiency which adopt greenhouse insulation strengthen technology.Under the circumstances without greenhouse insulation strengthen technology, the hydrolysis-AICS process BOD average effluent water was 18.72mg/L, with removal rate 87.62%; COD average effluent water was 55.69mg/L,with removal rate 87.48%;ammoniacal nitrogen average effluent water was 18.27mg/L,with removal rate 62.68%;total nitrogen effluent water was 18.69mg/L,with removal rate 66.13%;total phosphorus effluent water was 1.12mg/L,with removal rate 68.91%. Meanwhile, the water temperature in the main structures was relatively low, and the low temperature effect the removal efficiency of the process, and substandard phenomenon existed.Under the circumstances with greenhouse insulation strengthen technology, aeration tank was influenced by the greenhouse insulation and the solar radiation, everyday the temperature of outlet were higher than the temperature of inlet at 8 a.m. and 14 p.m., the temperature differences were between 0℃-0.8℃ and 0.5℃-1.0℃. During the nighttime without solar radiation, the greenhouse was still helpful to reduce the heat loss of aeration tank. The BOD average effluent water was less than 16mg/L,with removal rate higher than 89%; average effluent water of COD was more constant, less than 50 mg/L,with removal rate between 89% and 96%; total nitrogen effluent water was less than 20mg/L,with removal rate between 66% and 90%; ammoniacal nitrogen average effluent water maintain less than 12mg/L,with removal rate between 74% and 90%;effluent water of TP maintain less than 0.5 mg/L, with removal rate between 90% and 96%;effluent water of SS was relatively constant, maintain less than 20mg/L, with removal rate between 88% and 95%. These indicators could achieve Standard A Grade B or above of Municipal Sewage Treatment Plants Pollutants Release Standard(GB18918-2002). Each effluent indicators show obviously better than the ones without insulation measures.
