Huitengxile plateau plain where located in the middle of China’s North Ecotone of Agriculture-animal Husbandry, and is the interlaced zone of ecological environment that from sub-humid to semi-arid and arid areas. Its natural environment has been becoming more fragile, sensitive, and it is divided into the global environmental crisis zone. Effective and scientific basis can be provided for the sustainable use of natural resources, sustainable development of social-economic system and environmental protection policies by means of probing to tendency of environmental change and ecosystem services. For study change coming from ecological environmental of Huitengxile plateau plain, we analysis the rate of change of the land use and the reciprocal conversion of size and direction from different type of land use by using of dynamic models of land use and land-use transfer matrix, in this paper. And it was calculated herbage yield per unit and full year and theoretical stocking. Meanwhile, the spatial patterns and temporal dynamic characteristic of total carbon stocks has been analyses by using the InVEST model in study area. And some factors have also been discussed preliminary that influenced on the ecological environment change in the area. The main conclusions are follows:(1) It is no much change in land use types in the study area during 2000-2010 years and it’s main type is grassland and dry land. After 2005, the size of lake has been a sharp decline with an annual rate of 9.02 percent. From 2000-2010, dry land size has been maintaining the downward trend and grassland area showing an increasing trend.(2) The forage yield were 24.26×104t,26.93×104t,21.64×104t; and theoretical stocking were 16.62×104 sheep,18.45×104 sheep,14.82×104 sheep of Huitengxile plateau plain in 2000,2005 and 2010. The trend of forage yield and theoretical stocking is consistent, the highest one was in 2005. Overall, the space distribution of grass yield is high in southwest and gradually decreases from southwest to northeast in the area and northeast mainly low that was coveraged by low and medium-grassland and farmland in the 2000-2010year.(3) The total carbon stocks has much change every 5years in Huitengxile platueau plain. A significant change occurred in 2005, and the total carbon stocks reduced the 6168.06Mg in 2005 than in 2000. The total carbon stocks increased 2899.06Mg in 2010 year than in 2005, but the total carbon stocks has been trend of decreasing in 2000-2010.
