With the rapid development of nc machining technology,nc machining technology has become an important part of manufacturing tec hnobgy. Along with the social demand for diversified products is increasingly intense,the productivity of consumer goods in aviation,military, auto industry and light industry increases sharply.The NC technology which is on the basis of microelectronics technology and computer technology can effectively solve the diversified requirements of parts.NC programming is the main work and the key link in the process of NC machining technology’application. It’s also one of the links to get the maximum benefit in the NC machining system.NC programming plays an important role in realzing the automatic processing,improving machining quality and precision,shortening the product manufacturing cycle.In the light of the nature and actual needs of workshops set of automatic programming system which is suitable for the workshop has been developed.The system based on based on feature decomposition and reconstruction of rotational parts can implement function as the display of rotational parts,the display of tool path,automatic generation of NC codes,data communication.In order to realize the function of the system, The main works of this dissertation are shown as follows:(1)The analysis of theory of rotational parts’feature decomposition and reconstruction and the general frame of graphical programming system。 Includes details are as follows:theory of rotational parts’feature decomposition and reconstruction,general frame of graphical programming system,development environment of programming system and to choose the graphics technology of programming system。Based on the theory,the modeling method and related geometric cafculation have been done.The article gives general frame of system,the design of module,the choose of development environment and graphics techno to gy,database interface between SQLServer and programming system.(2)A lot of research work about tool path generation has been completed.Includes details are as follows:the determination of tool path,algorithm of tool path generation,interference detection of tools in the process of turning.Algorithm of tool path generation includes algorithm of main feature’tool path generatopm and algorithm of auxiliary feature’tool path generation.During the process of interference detection,we need to analyze the interference condition and algorithm of tools in the process of turning.(3)The method of post processing in the system, Algorithm to achieve auto-generating NC codes,the mothod of code checking and data communication have been proposed in this thesis.(4)Serial communication technologies is used in data communication. In this paper,the design of data communication module in the system has been given,including the hardware connection and software design.(5)Based on the theory of rotational parts’feature decomposition and reconstruction, the whole system has detailed designed.Also,the analysis of implement has been done after the design of the system.System design contains the design of user interface and program structure. During the user interface designing, we have to design main interlace and technical parameters interface.Design of public variable,forms,events and functions must be done when designing the program structure.The syetem can achieve rotational parts’modeling and display,the tool path’ display,auto-generating NC codes and Data communication.
