Aiming at the serious problem of urban river water pollution.The feasibility of ecological concrete used for urban river water pollution treatment and the effects of purification quality were studied in this paper. Through the combining of theoretical analysis and model test, physical, mechanical properties of ecological concrete and mix proportion design were discussed. The model test of eco-concrete in river ripairing and vegetation experiments on eco-concrete were carried out. Combined with test results, the water purification mechanism of eco-concrete and slop-protecting plants on eco-concrete adapt in Handan area were discussed. This study possesses important theory guiding meaning and very important realism meaning. The research achievements in this paper will provide the reliable basis and method of scientific operation of eco-concrete appling in repairing the urban river water, and also are of important reference values to other sewage treatment project.Conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)Ferrous sulfate can reduce p H value of ecological concrete,as lower cementitious material content does. In single particle size of coarse aggregate, compressive strength became lower with the increase of permeability coefficient. cementitious material content is inversely proportional to porosity. In contrast, porosity is directly proportional to the compressive strength of ecological concrete.The ecological concretes with different porosities have similar influence on the temperature and p H of water.(2)It is feasible to simulate the eco-concrete embankment of urban river flow on water purification under different flow conditions.In static adsorption test, the results showed that the test group of 3# had a best effect of water purification. It had the best efficiency on TP, the removal efficiency of TP is 69.4%.Next came KMn O4 Index and TN,the average removal efficiency is 51.6% and 47.4%. The removal efficiency is worst in NO3--N and NH4+-N, the average removal efficiency is 27.2% and 28.2%.In another test, the accumulated removal rate of TN, NO3--N, NO2--N, NH4+-N, TP and KMn O4 Index is 57.12%, 49.60%, 48.08%, 44.68%, 76.32% and 50.81%.(3)It can improve the effect of water purification by optimization the mix proportion of eco-concrete.The most appropriate mix proportion parameters were asfollows: single aggregate grading of 20~25 mm, water-cement ratio of 0.3,ferrous sulfate share for 12% of cementitious materials and calx share for 4%.And this mix proportion of eco-concrete could meet the requirements of plant growth.(4)Results showed that physical purification effect had main and significant effect during the water purification process. The removal pathway of total nitrogen and total phosphorus is significantly correlated with the mechanical interception and chemical adsorption of eco-concrete. Purification effect of nitrate, nitrite nitrogen and ammonia is mainly affected by microorganisms.(5)Bothriochloa ischaemum is more suitable than Festuca arundinacea to plant in the Ecological concrete in Handan.
