Oil-water contact relationships of bottom water reservoir are complex, and bottom water plays supporting and coning roles on reservoir evelopment.Bottom water reservoir development process to ensure the relative stability of formation pressure, and water coning leads oil wells to produce water in advance. Therefore the ultimate recovery of reservoirs is reduced and the production efficiency is affected. How to effectively prevent and slow down the speed of bottom water coning, is the key for bottom water reservoir development and one of the worldwide problem in oilfield development at present.Yan 10 reservoir of the Western Nan Liang Area belongs to braided river sedimentary system. Sand of braided channel is the most favorable reservoir unit of Yan 10 reservoir. The average porosity of the main oil formation of Yan 101 is 16.2%, and the average permeability of that is13.9×10-3μm2. At present, a total number of Yan10 oil wells is 65, including 59 production wells(8 horizontal wells) and 6 injection wells. The daily production of the oil wells is 134.19 t, and the average production capcity is 2.4t/d. Composite water cut is 50.25%. Bottom water of Yan 102+3 is widely distributed. Most wells of the Yan 10 reservoir development by natural energy. Some wells are high water cut because of bottom water coning. Therefore, The realization of economic effective development and study the rising laws with bottom water for Yan 10 reservoir of the western Nan Liang Area are very crucial.Based on the study of tapering geologic characteristics on Yan 10 reservoir of the Western Nan Liang Area, this paper carry out 3D geological modeling research in the reservoir. By analyzing the factors that affect the bottom water reservoir development, combined with the feature of production performance on Yan 10 reservoir, this paper established numerical model on Yan 10 reservoir,evaluation and analysis oil-water movement rules on Yan 10 reservoir of the Western Nan Liang Area, and put forward the measures of adjustment and excavation capacity about well pattern optimization, perforation interval optimization and fluid productivity optimization. These measures could provide basis for efficient development of Yan 10 reservoir of the Western Nan Liang Area.
