With the decrease of energy, many countries pay more and more attention to the energy efficiency. The result shows that, compared with the same specifications of the circle line, the flat wire has advantages in heat dissipation and electrical conductivity. So the flat wire has more and more applications. In the winding process of flat wire, it is easy to cause deformation, and its internal structure is changed, which influences its performance. It is important to maintain the tension of the winding process. In addition, the cabling of flat wire must meet certain mathematical relationship and need high precision. Currently few studies on the flat wire production equipment tension control and arrangement at home and abroad, this paper on the basis of the original equipment, in order to adapt to the requirements of the new processing speed and quality, the whole system were design and research.In this paper, the part of the equipment for flat wire rod is summarized, especially the electrical system of the equipment. According to the principle of constant tension, the method of selecting velocity difference is chosen, and the corresponding active system and servo system are determined, and the tension constant of the system is ensured in high-speed operation. Aiming at the stacking line and prone to flat wire arrangement process, analysis different wire arranging device characteristics, selection of ball screw gearing type traversing mechanism, for the arrangement of high quality provides a platform according to the actual situation of the arrangement.According to the theory of constent tension, designing a set of related control system of tension. Emerson MC280-1616BTA4 models of the PLC is as the core control of the equipment, with the EC20-0016ERN expansion module and EC20-4AD special expansion module as the expansion of control module. Each part of the equipment maintains stable operation by controlling the speed of the corresponding motor. so as to achieve the purpose that the stable operation of the whole system,and the process of production.Carry out the experiments, by observing the tension swing rod corresponding potentiometer waveforms, determine the parameters related to the stability of the system. Test results show that in this parameter, the system can run stablely at the high speed of 100m/min. by observing the different speeds of motor wire winding speed fluctuation range and the reversing time determined the influence of arrangement, test shows that 40m/min is relatively the most unstable in the cable system, but product appearance and arrangement of dense that conform to the standards.
