Grease is important to reduce the mechanical wear and prolong machine lubricants bearing life. The polyurea grease has a series of excellent properties, such as the characteristics of corrosion resistance, long service life and strong applicability, polyurea grease is a huge potential for lubricating materials and good prospects for development.In order to improve the performance of polyurea lubricating grease and to expand its applications, we can add the appropriate additive in lubricating grease. At present, carbon based nanomaterials in grease lubrication studies rarely reported, with carbon based nano materials as lubricating grease is a new generation of additives, and has broad application prospects. In this paper, two kinds of carbon nano materials added in polyurea grease, thermally stable properties, carbon based nanomaterials in lubricating grease lubricating property and antistatic property were studied. The main research contents are as follows:1. Multi wall carbon nanotubes, graphene as additives was added in polyurea grease. The thermal behavor of polyurea grease was analyzed by thermogravimetric analyzer and thermal conductivity. Found that two kinds of carbon based materials with polyurea grease dropping point of lubricating grease, had no significant effect, significantly improve the thermal decomposition temperature of lubricating grease, with multi walled carbon nanotubes as additive of lubricating grease with graphene thermal stability is better than that of lubricating grease. The coefficient of thermal conductivity test showed that two kinds of carbon nano materials can improve the thermal conductivity of the lubricating grease.2. Antifriction property was studied by ball-disc tribological tester and four ball machine of two kinds of carbon nano materials in the grease, and observe the morphology of the wear scar. the coefficient of friction of carbon nano materials was higher that is not suitable for use in low load condition. In different polymer as the friction test, friction reducing effect is better than that of carbon nanotubes and graphene, the average friction coefficient is lower than carbon nanotubes. Two kinds of carbon nano materials exhibit excellent lubrication performance in high load, which may be because of the graphene in the friction process adsorbed on the steel ball surface stress.3. Polyurea grease is investigated the application of carbon based nano materials in the industry. The test instrument of conductive carbon based nano materials in lubricating coating antistatic effect. The results show that the polyurea grease has improved the antistatic properties of the surface with polymer material. We compare the performance of commercially grease, that it has showed urea grease is better than the commercially grease.
