In this paper, small punch test (SPT) of low temperature was carried out on two materials of hydrogenation reactor samples with different thickness locations, which has been serviced for ten years. Transitions temperature between surface and middle of the thickness was studied by SPT. Furthermore, small punch tests were performed on 3CrlMol/4V weld joints from two directions at room temperature. The main achievements are as follows:(1)The minimum number of SPT temperature spots to determine the ductile-brittle temperature was confirmed to be at least 6.(2) Small punch test of low temperature was carried out on different locations. It was found that the energy-temperature curve was too steep during the ductile-brittle transition district. The energy transition temperature can not accurately be obtained by the existing calculation method of the energy and the fitting method of the transition energy. So the notched specimen will be a new developing direction.(3) Sampling on different directions was studied on wenld joint. From the relationship between parallel specimens and vertical specimens, a method of paralling sampling was recommended.
