Short fiber-rubber composite(SFRC)is widely used in the tire industry. Appli-cation of SFRC become the most important technical approach to improve quality of tyre.Many technologies of PSA short fibre pulp as natural rubber composite reinforcing filling have been developed for some excellent characteristics of PSA short fiber,such as high modulus.high strength and low density.Study on PSA short fibre composite reinforcing filling used in tyre could find an effective way to develop tyre products of our country.In this thesis,the effect of mechanical properties of NR composite which reinforced with two type of PSA short fiber predispersion was studied. At the same time, test and analysis on dispersibility of PSA short fibre in rubber matrix and interface adhesion between rubber matrix and short fibre were also made. The results revealed that:(1) As PSA short fiber predispersion both fiber had effectively improved dispersibility in rubber matrix.Both of them enhanced the mechanical properties of composite greatly.(2) There was some difference between the effect of PSA latex prepolymer and PSA/PP latex prepolymer reinforcing filling on the mechanical properties such as tensile strength, tearing strength,elongation at break,shore A hardness.(3) Striving to overcome the polysulfonamide short fiber pulp in the dispersion of natural rubber is poorer the technical difficulties, through reasonable process adjustment makes the polysulfonamide short fiber and pulp in natural rubber, get the best dispersion and rheological properties of the masterbatch.(4) Splits and fibrillates of PSA pulp could not only be helpful to improve adhesion between short fibre and rubber matrix,but also caused hardness for pulp to disperse into rubber matrix.As a result,difference of dispersibility and adhesion caused different reinforcing action in composite.(5) The mechanical properties indicated that the bond properties and dispersibility betw- een fiber and rubber matrix were not good enough.It failed to give full play to its enhance- ment effect, applications can use appropriate pretreatment method, is expected to further improve performance.In general, the two kinds of PSA forecast dispersion of short fiber pre polymers products processing greatly improve its dispersion in the rubber, and based on the characteristics of PSA fiber high strength, high modulus, both have has obvious enhancement effect on rubber composites.On the basic mechanical properties such as tensile strength, tear strength, each have each advantage, both affect the performance of tyres used is to improve the performance of the part at the same time reduce the other part of the performance.Therefore, in the tire rubber composites formula design, should be based on the actual needs of tire choose appropriate short fiber products.
