Submersible mixer as an indispensable equipment in the sewage treatment process,Its effectiveness is directly related to the efficiency of the sewage treatment and energy consumption of the equipment. According to the need to select the most suitable submersible mixer and exert the best effect of stirring becomes a problem urgently solved in sewage treatment process.The main research contents of this article are as follows:(1) This paper puts forward a new method to evaluate the effectiveness of the submersible mixer-- effective mixing domain method. Using UDF module of Fluent software to compiles the source code of calculating the volume to achieve effective mixing,which make analysis of numerical simulation results more intuitive,more persuasive.(2) In order to study the influence of submersible mixer horizontal installation angle on flow field in stirred tank,I design different schemes of different levels of installation angle and get the distribution of velocity for different schemes,which respectively calculated the percentage of the effective mixing volume of fluid account for the whole flow volume. By comparison, Selecting the optimal horizontal installation angle for submersible mixer.(3)The electric submersible agitator in the operation,the guide bar mechanism is simple,only the impeller rotates in a certain direction,the submersible agitator is fixed,the influence of the jet flow field domain is fixed. if the submersible agitator can continuously adjust running direction,which can largely improve the mixing efficiency. This paper creates a new submersible mixer,which is additionally provided with a reciprocating swing function based on conventional submersible mixer to make the submersible mixer to achieve a certain amplitude of the swinging in the operation,its purpose is to achieve a better stirring effect.(4) Using the UDF module of FLUENT software to make the the reciprocating swing program and the program to calculate the effective mixing region volume of submersible mixer in the pool.Through the different swing angle of submersible mixer to establish the different operation schemes, which respectively calculated the percentage of the effective mixing volume of fluid account for the whole flow volume. Under a certain angular velocity,discussing the different effect between the swing submersible mixer and the electric one, and optimize the swing operation scheme.(5) Under laboratory conditions,through the method of observing the settlement of the pool to explore the effect of no swing and swing submersible agitator.
