Atmospheric particles are one of the most important, respresentive and harmful atmospherical pollution in urban air of Nanjing. It not only reduces the air visibility, causing haze weather, but also has adverse effects on human health.In order to study the pollution characteristics of atmospheric particles in the east of Nanjing, Anderson size distribution samplers and the monitoring data of air pollutants were used to analysis size distribution characteristics of the particle through the mathematical statistics method during the period of 2013-2014. The conclusions as following:The mass concentration distribution of atmospheric particles in the east of Nanjing showed a bimodal distribution in different seasons which were distributed in 5.8-10.0μm (coarse mode distribution) and 0.65-2.1μm (accumulation modal distribution); Temperature, relative humidity, rainfall and wind speed had negative effects on the concentration of PM2.5 and PM10; PM10, PM2.5, SO2, NO2, O3 and CO six kinds of air pollutants showed strong seasonal variation characteristics, and PM2.5 were the primary pollutants in each month during 2013 to 2014. The two aerosol which caused by mobile sources had great influence on atmospherical pollution in urban air of Nanjing. The two aerosol pollution which caused by gas may be one of the main reasons for the formation of haze weather.The pollution characteristics of atmospheric particles in the east of Nanjing ware analyzed detaily; The air quality, control measures and the causes of air quality improvement during The Asian Youth Games and The Youth Olympic Games has been studied intensivly. The study found that the air quality during the Youth Olympic Games and the Asian Youth Games was good, and the pollutant concentration was lower than the average concentration in August of that year. On the one hand, it profited from the favorable weather conditions, on the other hand, it benefited from the air quality temporary control measures which carried out by government.The escaping particles from dry sampler ware studied by connecting commonly used dry sampler and self-made wet sampler, The escaping particles from dry sampler can be collected by wet sampler. The greater the mass concentration of escaping particles, the higher the air quality index(AQI), the more serious air pollution. The greater the concentration of particlution matter, the higher the percentage of excaping particles. Escaping particles accounted for about 8%~10% of PM2.5, about 6%~7% of PM10, about 5.5%~7% of TSP.
