Marine flexible pipe is an important equipment of marine oil and gas development. As the development of marine oil and gas exploitation gradually goes to deep water, higher tensile property of the flexible pipe is necessary. The flexible pipe structure provides from tensile strength mainly with its spiral form tensile armoured wire. With the increase of the depth of the water, thicker armoured wire design is needed, which brings new challenges to processing winding tensile armoured wire. We also need to accurately predict the mechanical behavior of the steel wire forming process, and then adjust the process parameters.This article analyze the processing equipment and working principle of the Marine flexible pipe tensile armoured wire, and make a conclusion to the key point of the technical problems, which is the wire winding problem, and determine the key process parameters of winding further, which is the wire tension. First of all I establish a theoretical model of the process of a single steel wire winding a cylinder, and analyze the upper limit of the processing pretension. At the same time, I establish a three-dimensional finite element numerical model of the armored steel wire winding based on the elastic-plastic material and validate the rationality of the theoretical model using an 8" flexible pipe tensile armoured wire winding as an example; The range of the lower limiting value range is also analyzed to meet the requirements of the winding pretension, and predict the stress state of the steel wire in the process of winding. In addition, the mechanical behavior of the steel wire continuous winding multi-cylinders is analyzed, make a compare and a discussion of the biggest processing stress considering the before and after plastic strain. The theoretical and numerical model in this paper provides a technical suggestion of processing and manufacturing of the flexible pipe tensile armoured wire and a theoretical suggestion of the Marine flexible pipe cross section design.
