Since titanium silicalite TS-1 was synthesized, its excellent catalytic oxidation performance has been receiving the attention of scholars. The key factors that affect its catalytic performance are the size of the particle and the content of titanium in skeleton.How to synthesize titanium silicalite of small size and high content of titanium in skeleton under the condition of low cost has been the focus of research. Because of the limitation of the structure, the amount of titanium entering the structure of TS-1 is limited, so more studies have focused on changing the particle size of TS-1.Based on colloidal silica as the main raw material, four propyl ammonium hydroxide (TPAOH) as template agent, ethylamine (EA) as alkali source, isopropyl alcohol (IPA) as the complexing agent, different methods of synthesis are used to synthesize different particle size of titanium silicalite TS-1, then XRD、FT-IR、UV-Vis、SEM、Raman and BET are used to characterize the synthetic samples. The main results are as follows:(1) The different methods were adopt and micron level and nanoscale titanium silicalite TS-1 were synthesized. Through the characterization we discoveried which compared to titanium silicalite of particle size of micron grade, TS-1 of particle size of nanoscale has the relative high crystallinity, large specific surface area、high content of titanium in skeleton and the content of titanium in non-framework is low. The morphology of TS-1 tend to round with the decrease of the particle size.(2) By the way of joining mother liquor we use silicon sol as silica source, and no more template agent longer,ethylamine as alkali source to synthesize TS-1.The particle size of the TS-1 can be at around 300 nm. In a certain range, increasing the amount of mother liquor can reduce particle size of titanium silicalite (TS-1) and raise the content of the titanium in frame. We found that the best amount of mother liquor is 20%(the quality of the mother liquid gel/liquid total quality=20%), namely TPAOH/Si= 0.045. Its cost is very low.(3) TS-1 synthesized by the way of mother liquor synthesis has good crystallinity, high content of titanium skeleton, and the method has good repeatability, simple operation, and advantages of low cost. By amplification experiments, the physical property of TS-1 is not changed judged by the characterization.So the method is suitable for industrial production, and it is contribution to the development of titanium silicon molecular sieve in industry.
