Taking SHMP、SDBS and PEG as the dispersing agent, aluminum hydroxide、Zirconium oxychloride as inorganic coating agent, PEG, PER and SDBS as organic coating agent, this article explores the technics of rutile titanium dioxide coated with other materials before, and the inorganic, organic, and inorganic-organic-mixed coating technics of making rutile titanium dioxide. Both the structure and performance of the samples are tested by Zeta, SEM, TEM, FT-IR, XRD, TG and so on. Conclusions are as follows:1. Through the researches on the technics of rutile titanium dioxide coated with other materials before, we have selected SHMP as the dispersing agent, and the optimized process we get is that the quantity of SHMP being added should be 1.0% of that of titanium dioxide; the p H of seriflux controlled should be 10 in the dispersion process.2. By studying the inorganic coating technics of rutile titanium dioxide, we have concluded that the optimized process of rutile titanium dioxide coated with Al2O3 is that the concentration of rutile titanium dioxide should be 10%, the dosage of aluminum sulfate should be 4%, the temperature should be 60℃, the stirring rate should be 290r/min. The optimized process of rutile titanium dioxide coated with Zr O2 is that the dosage of zirconium oxychloride should be 2.5%, the temperature should be 70℃, p H should be at 9, the aging time should be 2 hours. Rutile titanium dioxide coated with Zr O2/Al2O3, when the weight ratio of zirconium and aluminum is 2:1, the sample got the higher whiteness and the better weather resistance.3. Through the researches on the organic coating process of rutile titanium dioxide, we select PEG600 as the organic coating agent, and the optimized process of rutile titanium dioxide coated with PEG600 is that the dosage of PEG600 should be 0.005 mol/100 g Ti O2, the concentration of coating agent should be 0.02 mol/L, the temperature should be 80℃; p H should be 9.4. After the optimization of the process of rutile titanium dioxide coated with inorganic and coated with organic, coated inorganic and organic on the rutile titanium dioxide, optimization of the process of rutile titanium dioxide coated with inorganic-organic as follows: the concentration of titanium dioxide should be 10%, the quantity of SHMP being added should be 1.0% of that of titanium dioxide, the p H of seriflux controled should be at 10 in the dispersion process. The weight ratio of zirconium and aluminum should be 2:1, and in the process coating the rutile titanium dioxide with Zr O2, the temperature should be 70℃, p H should be 9, the aging time should be 2 hours. In the process of coating the rutile titanium dioxide with Al2O3, the dosage of aluminum sulfate should be 4%, the temperature should be 60℃, the stirring rate should be 290r/min, the dosage of PEG600 should be 0.005 mol/100 g Ti O2, the concentration of coating agent should be 0.02 mol/L, the temperature should be 80℃ and p H should be at 9.
