| With the continuous development of economy and people environmental awareness, the sewage treatment in small town is becoming a urgent problem to be solved. But several current conventional treatment processes need large infrastructure investment, high energy consumption, and complex operation and management, difficult to be applied in the small urban areas existing technical and economic weakness. Recently, various ecological technologies for wastewater treatment have been developed, becoming the new economic choices for sewage treatment in some small town.In this paper, we used the Changde District Domestic Sewage Treatment Plant as an example to conduct research studies including water quality and quantity of the sewage treatment plant analysis and to determine, analyze and process plan selection and design parameters for optimization.Changde District domestic sewage treatment engineering was designed and built according to the local soil characteristics and climate conditions, after comparing some treatment processes. Finally, an innovative combined process as following: sewage → coarse grid and sewage pumping station → fine grid→ aerated grit chamber →biochemical tank of AA / O → secondary clarifier tank→ Midway Lift Pump→ the depth of processing(mixing tank- Grid reaction tank- ramp sedimentation tank- turntable filter) → UV disinfection→ emission. After the treatment engineering finished, a long run research was presented, and the result showed that the effluent water quality almost met the first level-B standard of Pollutants discharge standards in the urban sewage treatment plant(PDS)(GB18918-2002), Chinese standardsIn conclusion, this study showed that the A/A/O treatment has acceptable investments and stable removal abilities for pollutants, with demand, simple maintenance and management, low and infrastructure low consumption and sludge production. Although temperature and influent influenced the treatment efficiencies, the effluent water quality almost met energy loadings the first level-B standard of PDS. Thus, this combined process is suitable to the domestic wastewater treatment in small mountain town can provide reference for similar urban sewage and the design and operation experiences treatment plant. |
