The Synthesis Of New Emulsifier And Its Application In Preparation Of Micro Emulsified Diesel

This paper first synthesised a kind of surfactant called sodium 2-(tetradecanoyloxy) ethanesulfonate. The alkyl chain was similar to diesel. With myristic acid and sodium hydroxyethyl sulfonate as raw materials, sodium 2-(tetradecanoyloxy) ethanesulfonate is synthesized in the presence of methanesulfonic acid catalyst. The chemical structure was confirmed and the surface tension of the product was determined. The product is compounded with sodium alkylbenzene sulfonate and dodecyl benzenesulfonic acid to form a emulsifier used to prepared of clear、stable micro-emulsification diesel fuel.The detailed study was made to the preparation of microemulsion diesel. And the effects of emulsifier and co-emulsifier type, quantity, emulsifying style, order of adding reagents, addition of inorganic salt on property of microemulsion diesel was investigated A series of conventional surfactants were chosen as emulsifier to prepare micro emulsification diesel fuel. By comparing the stable time of micro-emulsification diesel fuel, we selected sodium alkybenzene sulfonate, dodebyl benzenesulfonic acid and sodium 2-(tetradecanoyloxy) ethanesulfonate as emulsifier and the optimum ratio and amount of emulsifier was determinded; a series of normal alcohol and iso-alcohols was selected as the co-emulsifier and it is founded that n-butanol is optimal; By comparing stable time, we determined the optimum quantity of emulsifier, co-emulsifier and deionized water in the formulation; We also studied the effect of emulsifying style, order of adding reagents, addition of inorganic salts on property of micro-emulsion diesel, and a micro-emulsion diesel stable in 300 day was prepared. Its performance index is accordance with the national standard of microemulsion diesel.
