Study On Alkali/Enzyme Pretreatmented Fiber Surface Properties Of Bamboo SCMP And Its Effects On Pulp Bleachibility

In this research, bamboo SCMP was screened into R30, R100, R200, R300, by using Bauer-McNett fiber screening, and their properties were studied first, followed by the effects of alkalinene extraction, Xylanase pretreatment and xylanase-alkalinene treatment on the pulp bleachibility. SCMP fiber surface properties and its influences on pulp properties was studied by fiber quality analysis, UV-Vis, SEM, HPLC, AFM and XPS. The results were as follows:SCMP fiber length is 1.27mm,it increased with the level reduce, all levels’ length were decreased after pre-treatment. the width is 17.05 nm.Most R300 fiber’s shape is a rectangle.The edge is thick,and curved inwards,it was different from the fibrillar morphology.The content of R30-R100 is 68.97%, R200 content is 4.92%, R300 is 10.24%.Benzene alcohol extractive content are 0.35%,0.36%,0.50%in turn,lignin content are 19.29%,21.29%,38.75% in turn.Hydrogen peroxide bleaching white degree are 72.23%ISO,69.58%ISO, 53.55%ISO in turn, PC values are 1.43,2.16,2.37 in turn.the content of Benzene alcohol extractives and lignin PC values increased,whiteness reduce with the level reduceIn the unbleached pulp,the whiteness of R200 fiber was the highest up to 32.5%ISO.Others were similar about 28%ISO, whiteness decreased 2-6%ISO after alkaline extraction,increased 1-4%ISO after xylanase pre -treatment.After bleaching,the whiteness were R200>R30>R300 in turn. R30 are the easiest to be bleached.R300 can reduce the optical properties, alkaline extraction can improve the bleachability,xylanase pretreatment can improve the whiteness of pulp. lignin and sugar content in R300 were higher than R30.SEM results showed that:fiber surface became rough after folding after alkaline extraction, fiber fragments were seen, exposing the micro fiber.On the surface emergence of holes after xylanase pre-treatment.The fragments were reduced,it was different from alkaline extraction. fiber damage is larger after alkaline extraction.AFM results showed that:R30 and R300’s surface are covered with granular material containing lignin and extractives.it was more intensive on R300.After alkalinene extraction, fiber surface cuticle peeling, exposing the micro fiber bundle.fiber damage is larger after alkaline extraction.then R300 is easier reacted.AFM results showed that:extraction affected on whiteness more than lignin.The lignin content of R30 is lower than R300ande extraction is higher.The extraction is rise after alkaline extraction.it was reduce after xylanase pre-treatment. After bleaching,alkalinene extraction whiteness is higher than xylanase pretreatment’s. alkaline pretreatment can improve pulp bleachability.
