Polybutylece Terephthalate(PBT) is one of the five classes of thermoplastic materials with the characteristics of high degree crystallinity, thermal stability, excellent processing performance, which has a good application in electronics, automotive parts, machinery equipment and other fields. However, the further development was limited by the low notched impact. Therefore, there is a great significance on improving the toughness of PBT.It is reported that three toughening agent EBA- g – GMA with different grafting rate in this thesis, and future characterized using methods of infrared spectrogram and acid-base titration. The effect of agents’ toughness was studied by adding these three agent to alloys, and then have a comparison with other important agents. Moreover, it is also important to study how the dosage of agent affect the toughness. The results show that the more GMA was added, the higher grafting rate was obtained with the better toughness effect. Among these results, it is noticed that the toughness effect of 2% EBA-g-GMA with 2% of grafting rate is very close to AX- 8900. In the system of GB/PBT, toughening agent 3 reach the best the effect with addition of 7%. In PDB with the enhanced toughness, toughening agent 3 has the best the effect with addition of 7%. In PC/PBT alloy, adding 7% of toughening agent 3 can increase the toughness effect, with 7 times more.
