In this article,three functionalized elastomers,EMA-g-GMA,EPDM-g-GMA and POE-g-GMA,were prepared by melt grafting.The main point is to explore the effect of single use and synergistic use on the toughening effect of PBT by changing the content of functionalized elastomers and the different ratios between the two functionalized elastomers.The results show that:(?)Mechanical tests show that when the three elastomers EMA,EPDM and POE were used alone,they had a toughening effect only after functionalization.Each system had a brittle-tough transition,and as the amount of functionalized elastomer increases,the impact strength was Linear increase,when PBT was blended with POE-g-GMA,when the elastomer content reached 25%,the impact strength of the blend can reach 500 J / m,and when it exceedsd 25%,the growth would become slow;When PBT was blended with EPDM-g-GMA,when the elastomer content reached 22%,the impact strength of the blend can reach 500 J / m,and when it exceeded 25%,the growth would become slow;when PBT was blended with EMA-g-GMA,whose content reached 18%,the impact strength of the blend can reach 500 J / m,and when the elastomer content reached 25%,the impact strength can reach 720 J / m,after which the impact strength will slowly decrease.(?)In the POE-g-GMA / EPDM-g-GMA / PBT blend system,no matter which component,when the elastomer content was added to 25%,the material impact strength showed the maximum value,the maximum value was 500 J/m,indicating that it can be toughened effect,but the effect was not much different when the elastomer was used alone or in synergy;In the POE-g-GMA / EMA-g-GMA / PBT blending system,the impact strength of the three synergistic toughening systems had only been slightly improved,and it had no toughening effect,indicating that the compatibility was poor,so the effect of the two toughening agents using together is not as good as using it alone;In the EMA-g-GMA / EPDM-g-GMA / PBT blending system,the impact strength of toughening systems was only slightly improved,and the toughening effect was not obvious,indicating that the compatibility is poor,so the effect of the two toughening agents using together is not as good as using it alone.
