Casting polyurethane (CPU) is one of the largest varieties of polyurethane elastomer products. Due to the simple manufacturing process and good comprehensive performance, CPU has become one of the famous polymers for research and development in domestic and abroad.In this thesis, we design a series of samples which were synthesized by nonpose curing、pose curing、different types of raw materials、imported raw materials and domestic raw materials. And then test the tensile strength、 hydrolysis resistance、acid and alkali resistance、heat resistance.All the samples were prepared with the same hardness (Shore D 40-45)。 And in this thesis, we also focus on the performance research for the CPU made by polytetrahydrofuran which was used in the papermaking industry as a transmission belt.After research and experiment, we got following conclusions: 1) The tensile strength of CPU made by polycarbonate was better than the one made by polytetrahydrofuran. 2) The tensile strength of CPU made by domestic raw material was similar to the one made by imported raw material. Imported material can be replaced by domestic material if the quality of domestic material can be well controlled with stably. 3) The tensile strength was greatly improved when the CPU was post cured. 4) CPU made by polytetrahydrofuran has very good hydrolysis resistance and acid/alkali resistance, but the heat resistance was not good.
