China is rich in coal resources. The mainly coal energy structure will lead to serious environmental pollution. The combustion of coal will produce large amounts of nitrogen oxides and sulfur oxides. At the present stage, our country cannot completely get rid of the existing energy structure and still need to use coal resources, so our country cannot completely be rely on biomass energy. Based on this condition, the researching and development of biomass compound coal with low pollution has great significance on reducing environmental pollution.With the improvement of mining mechanization, pulverized coal increased year by year that account for more than 70% of coal production. This condition resulted in problems that coal supply is tension and pulverized coal is in a large backlog with environmental pollution. Inner Mongolia has very rich Salix resources that has a broad space for development and utilization. In this paper, pulverized coal and Salix in Ordos region are fabricated biomass compound coal. Taking falling type coal strength and cold pressing strength as evaluation indexes, the best preparation technology conditions is found out through the test and studying on coal combustion characteristic.The experimental results showed that:1. Taking into account the cold briquette strength and drop strength, optimum conditions is:Salix mass fraction is 40%, forming pressure is 55MPa, molding temperature is 100℃, Salix size is 9mm, pulverized coal particle size is 9mm, and the water content of Salix is 25%.2. In the same ventilation mode, the higher mass fraction of Salix wood, composite briquette burning rate faster. When Salix mass fraction of 40%, the burning rate of composite briquette is fastest.3. For the mass fraction of the same complex Salix coal, when the ventilation mode is fully opened door, the burning rate of composite briquette is fastest.4. There are certain degrees of impact of burning time on coal burning rate, but not the main factor.
