The sulfonated carbon-based adsorbent were prepared by hydrothermal sulfonated approach using Taixi coal and semi-coke as raw materials,98% H2SO4 as sulfonating agent. Adsorptive rate of heavy metal ions and organics on sulfonated carbon-based adsorbent was studied in the lab using static adsorption method. Then optimized the technological condition, compared semi-coke with sulfonated semi-coke adsorption, and explored the thermodynamic and kinetic feature. Results showed as followed.The four factors and three levels orthogonal experiments was designed by investigated the sulfonation time, sulfonation temperature, the amount of 98% H2SO4 and the impact of raw material particle size. The result showed that T=120℃, t=10 h, semi-coke particle size=80 mess, V(H2SO4)=18 mL, the acid value could reach to 0.4562 mmol/g. T=140℃, t=6 h, Taixi coal particle size=80 mess, V(H2SO4)=14 mL, the acid value could reach to 0.5400 mmol/g. The Sulfonated carbon-based adsorbent with more functional groups and porous structure characterizated by FT-IR and SEM.Phenol and aniline wastewater were adsorpted by sulfonated semi-coke adsorption in the lab using static adsorption method. The adsorption time, temperature, pH, initial concentration of wastewater ware investigate. The results showed when 2 g sulfonated semi-coke adsorbent at pH 6, the adsorption temperature was 45℃, adsorption time was about 90 min, initial concentration was 10 mg/L, the absorption rate of phenol reach to 90.31%. when 2 g sulfonated semi-coke adsorbent at pH 3, the adsorption temperature was 25℃, adsorption time was about 210 min, initial concentration was 70 mg/L, the absorption rate of phenol reach to 95%. The adsorption rate of sulfonated semi-coke was significantly higher than semi-coke. The pseudo-second-order reaction model and Freundlich model were fitted sulfonated semi-coke adsorption.Zn2+, Fe3+ and phenol wastewater were adsorpted by sulfonated Taixi coal adsorption in the lab using static adsorption method. The adsorption time, temperature, pH, initial concentration of wastewater ware investigate and the adsorption mechanism was explored. The results showed when initial concentration of Zn2+wastewater was 50 mg/L, pH was 3, the adsorption temperature was from 15℃ to 25℃, adsorption time was about 100 min, the absorption rate of Zn2+ reach to 98%. when initial concentration of Fe3+wastewater was 50 mg/L, pH was 3, the adsorption temperature was from 25℃ to 35℃, adsorption time was about 50 min, the absorption rate of Fe3+ reach to 97%. when initial concentration of phenol wastewater was 20 mg/L, pH was 5, the adsorption temperature was from 45℃ to 50℃, adsorption time was about 90 min, the absorption rate of phenol reach to 95%. A theoretical basis was promoted for remove heavy metal ions and organic by green method.
