Optical plastics have lots of excellent performance, such as high transparent, weather resistance, stability, high mechanical strength, light weight and ease of processing, widely used in construction, transportation, lighting, advertising, industrial, household, medical industry, such as doors and windows, daylighting, lamps and lanterns, ect.But it have some fatal flaws:the low surface hardness, in use process easy be scratches; At the same time its thermal deformation temperature is low, can not resistance to high temperature. Thus greatly limits its application. In optical surface coated with a layer of hard coating is a kind of simple and effective method to improve its surface hardness. The light-cured(UV) technology has some features, such as fast curing, energy saving and environmental protection, and particularly suitable for heat-sensitive substrates. Organic/inorganic hybrid materials with organic material film deposition, flexibility and adhesion to the substrate and inorganic materials of high hardness and scratch resistance, and thus become the development direction in the area of optical plastics surface hardness coating.In this paper, use the sol-gel method with tetraethyl orthosilicate(TEOS) and γ-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane trimethoxysilane(KH570) and self made polyurethane acrylate macromonomer as precursor synthesis two-modified silica sol, both silica sol were then complexed with different base resin and obtained two kinds of photocurable(UV) of the organic/inorganic hybrid coating, and studied the hybrid coatings and hybrid coating performance, the specific contents are as follows:First, using the sol-gel method, with tetraethyl orthosilicate(TEOS) andγ-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane trimethoxysilane(KH570) synthesized a TEOS/KH570 sol, then use the silica sol as the inorganic phase and the high functionality of UV resin( dipentaerythritol hexaacrylate(DPHA), trimethylolpropane triacrylate(TMPTA), and 1,6-hexanediol diacrylate(HDDA)) as the organic phase composite, obtained photocurable(UV) of the organic/inorganic hybrid coatings. Silica sol and the hybrid coatings can be stored separately 180 d and 90 d, stable performance. After the silica sol and the light-curable resin mixed, the hybrid coatings uniformly transparent, has good compatibility, in plexiglass(PMMA) surface after ultraviolet(UV) cured formed a uniform dense film, hybrid coatings in the visible region transmittance is 90% or more, the light transmittance of blank PMMA after scratch resistance test decreased by 18 to 25%, and applying a coating of light transmittance is almost no change. When the silica sol ratio of 20 %, the hardness of the coating up to 8H, the volume shrinkage ratio of the silica sol was not added photocurable resin coating is reduced by 51%, wear resistance is increased by 61%.Second, first with isophorone diisocyanate(IPDI), hydroxyethyl acrylate(HEA) and γ- aminopropyl triethoxysilane(KH550) synthesis of a silicon-containing precursor of Si-PUA, and then with TEOS and Si-PUA synthesized a TEOS/Si-PUA silica sol, the silica sol and then composite with bisphenol A type epoxy acrylate resin(CN104NS) to give a photo-curable(UV) of organic/inorganic hybrid coatings. Silica sol and the hybrid coatings can be stored separately 180 d and 90 d, stable performance. After the silica sol with UV resin composite, hybrid coatings were always homogeneous and be transparent phase, hybrid coatings of transmittance is almost no change in the visible region, the transmittance above 90%, the light transmittance of blank PMMA after scratch resistance test decreased by 18 to 30%, and applying a coating of light transmittance is almost no change. When the content of silica sol is 20%, the hybrid coating flexibility and impact resistance achieve to the best, respectively 5mm and 5.2Kg ? cm; When the content of silica sol is 10%, the hardness of the coating achieve to the best with 4H. When the content of silica sol of 20%, the best wear resistance of the hybrid coating, this time the amount of wear of hybrid coatings is 2.7mg, the wear resistance improved 53.4%.
