With the development of science and technology, all kinds of excellent properties of textile materials andtextile weaving technology have been taken to the design the tracery fabric. Make the types and function of thetracery fabrics become more variety. Tracery fabrics already no longer confined to adornment effect, its opticalperformance has become an important evaluation index.The curtain can be divided into three kinds according the structure on the international: inner, middle,and outer layers. The outer layers was is defined as the glass curtain fabric, at present most of the glass curtainfabric own good transparency, but not enough privacy and UV radiation, it often make with middle, or innerlayer of thick type curtain to compensate for these deficiencies. In order to solve the problem, this paperfocuses on the research and design of such a kind of glass curtain fabric which has better light transmittanceperformance and can weaken the UV radiation. On the basis of testing and characterizing optical properties,the glass curtain fabric are tested, analyzed and evaluated, in anticipation of obtaining a new-type glass curtainfabric which can weaken the ultraviolet radiation under the premise that also have good light transmittance,Besides that, in order to further improve the optical performance of the glass curtain fabric we discuss andoptimize the design factors in the preparation technology.In order to obtain the new glass curtain fabric, adding new functional tracery fabrics, analysis the opticalperformance of the fabric test and characterization methods, optimize the design of the fabric preparationprocess. This paper doing the following research work:1. On the basis of the analysis of the optical properties of the fabric and the factors affecting fabric opticalperformance, Establish the principle of light on the new-type fabric and its design features.2. Selecting full dull filament as key raw material of the fabric. Though using the new process design andfinishing process we weave the new glass curtain fabric with the rapier loom. The fabric has a good stylewhich has significant stripe and good gloss, the surface is flat and smooth.3. Compare the different between the full dull filament and common polyester. The physical properties ofthe new glass curtain fabric was tested and compared with the fabric that select from the market. The resultsshow that the new glass curtain fabric can fit the use requirements. 4. Study the characterization index and test methods of the fabric optical performance, we determine theoptical test band, characterization index and test method.5. The optical properties of new glass curtain fabric were tested with the spectrophotometer and comparedwith the samples from market. Through analysis all samples by spectral curve and characteristic value, and theresults have been proved that new glass curtain fabric can weaken the UV radiation and also have a better lighttransmittance.6. Study and use orthogonal experimental design, we design a orthogonal array in order to analysisthe influences of various factors on the optical property of the fabric, so as to can further optimizing the opticalproperties of fabric.After a series of study, research, test and analysis, the fabric which has a relatively good lighttransmittance and low UV transmittance radiation is prepared. The new style fabric has similarlight transmittance with the samples from market, but more better weaken UV radiation than most of marketfabric. Study the characterization index and test methods of the fabric optical performance. Analysis the fourtechnology design factors effect on the UV and visible light transmittance of fabric by useorthogonal experimental design: The effect of yarn fineness and structure is more apparent. The full dullfilament ratio and fabric density has different effect. The former has greater effect on the UV transmittance; thelatter is opposite. The follow design process is selected according to above analysis: the full dull filamentyarn fineness is75D/72f; the ratio is5:1;1/2twill; weft density is280/10cm. This design is a relatively goodway to further weaken the UV radiation while good light transmittance. The process of new glass curtainfabric has already been widely used in the production proces. The new glass curtain fabric has a very goodmarket value, and research has practical significance.
