Nowdays our country’s level of industrialization is developing, level of productivity is increasing, most of domestic manufacturing enterprises has reduced the gap with foreign enterprises. But most of the domestic manufacturing enterprises tend to use pendulum wire device imported from abroad. Pendulum wire device of domestic manufacture still exist a wide variety of quality problems, therefore, the research on these problems has aroused people’s concern.This paper has analysed a domestic manufacturing enterprise’s production of pendulum wire has the drive link fracture and the machine body’s vibration two problems in the process of use, proposed the improve scheme and did optimization design.The main research contents of paper are as follows:(1) The main reason of the drive link fracture was analyzed when the pendulum wire device in operation. Based on the calculate and analysis of the current transmission mechanism’s characteristics, the pendulum wire transmission mechanism was improved design. Through comparing the rotation angle and the angular acceleration curve of initial components and the improved components, as well as contrasting the variations on the cross result force with the improvement drive link and the previous, this leads to the improvement scheme was deduced.(2) The correlation theory of kinematics and engineering mechanics were utilized to analysed and calculated the stress distribution of connecting rod’s different angles within a circle of the drive link’s working, so as to obtain the corresponding angle and position when the drive link was in maximum bending moment of working process.(3) The seamless connection between the Pro/Mechanica module and Pro/E to establish the model was utilized when the drive link was in maximum bending moment, and through the analysis of simulation, contrasting the stress intensity between rectangular and round cross sections when the corss section area is equal, determined the optimal shape of cross sections. Analysing the model of cross section shape which has determined by the fatigue analysis, and comparing between actual data and analysis data to verify whether the drive link can achieve the service life of actual design.(4) According to the machine body’s vibration problem, the whole structure of pendulum wire device’s transmission mechanism was improved design. Through comparing the inertia force of the drive link’s numerical size before and after improvement, prove the feasibility of the improved scheme.
