Agriculture is the priority among priorities of national development, and the agricultural ecological environment is the basis on agriculture development. On the background of the agricultural modernization promoted by the country and the database of the second national survey, It is great significant to explore the application of GIS in the agricultural ecological function partition.Taking Yongxing county as an example, this paper selected the entropy weight method to carry on the index weight assignment. The date such as slope cultivated land which was extracted from slope cultivated land use status chart by MAPGIS6.7was analyzed. Then the index data was spatial overlay analysis. From the slope of arable land, combining the results of data analysis and overlay analysis, the application of GIS in the agricultural ecological environent planning was explored. The main conclusions of this paper were as follows:First, The weights assigned to the index by using the entropy method, and the results showed that the functional zoning index to construct was feasible. From the evaluation results can be seen, the cultivated land influence on the study of regional function division was maximum.Second, From the cultivated land slope, the related data explored from Yongxing county land utilization present situation chart was analyzed. Combined with the results of data analysis, the study area was divided into " one central task, two levels, three bands, four districts " pattern of functional partition.
