Based on the directing effects, the design and synthese ofiodoargentate hybrids have attracted much attention because oftheir tunable structures and optoelectronic properties. Althoughvarious structural directing agents (SDAs) have been used tosynthesize novel iodoargentate hybrids, the structural relationshipbetween SDAs and inorganic moieties is usually weak. So, it is veryimportant to select SDAs with regular spacer and electronconfiguration and probe structural directing mechanism.In this thesis, seven organic-inorganic iodoargentates weresynthesized based on directing and synergistic effects of[M(phen)3]2+with D3symmetry. Structural comparisons are listed asfollow: Firstly, occurrence of connection disorder and the feature ofcreating clusters reveal the strong flexibility of iodoargentates.Secondly, supramolecular template can more effectively modulatetheir charge density, size, shape and symmetry, which not only can enrich SDAs, but also can realize the transfer of structuralinformation of SDAs. Lastly, bulky solvent molecules in the latticesubtly interfer the symmetric transfer from cationic motif to theinorganic framework.
