With industrial development, global environmental pollution and ecological damage worsening shortages of energy and resources increasingly troubled people.Life cycle refers to the production system phase the continuously and relatively, from obtaining raw materials or natural resources to discarding the final product.Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) formulated by International Organization clarified:LCA is a valuable tool for assessing environmental factor related to the product and potential impact.In this paper, the theoretical studies based on the life cycle assessment method, which is applied to the instance. Selecting a motor company in Changzhou cleaner production audit cases, CML2001evaluation method using GaBi Eduction6.0utilized to the Various stages of cleaner production process.In the production process of It diesel generator, acidification effects of AP is the main type of environmental impact, the environmental impact value of it is38.5%of total environmental impact value; followed by eutrophication EP,31.39%of the total environmental impact value;the proportion of photochemical smog POCP、greenhouse gas GWP、ozone depletion ODP、human toxicity potential environmental impact HTP of the total environmental is14.42%、14.09%、13.55%、11.06%.the production process analysis of It diesel generators stator core with HC7showed that manual welding environment environmental impacts value is maximum,the ratio is46.87%, cutting material, blanking, notching environmental impact values are similar, the ratio is14.42%,14.09%,13.55%,11.06%.In the Feasibility Study, the use of life cycle assessment method compared to the automatic welding process instead of manual welding proces. From the view of the environmental impact point, the automatic welding process less than the manual welding process in the total value of environment impact, each type of environmental impact are reduced by about5%; from the view of the technology, the product qualified rate rose to100percent, productivity is improved; from the view of the economic, defective products rate decreased to0%, waste processing costs is saved. Therefore, comprehensive evaluation of the program is feasible.Life Cycle Assessment in cleaner production audit, through the product life cycle for statistical analysis and results interpretation, determine the audit priorities, make cleaner production program, the life cycle environmental impacts compared before and after program implementation. More intuitive and quantitative review of the company’s clean production audits, as far as possible to meet the minimization of environmental impacts and maximize resources, energy use, and contribute to China’s sustainable development.
