Lincomycin is a broad-spectrum antibiotics which was separated from streptomyces lincolnensis metabolites in 1962. Lincomycin can highly effective against gram-positive bacteria, effect on bacteria protein synthesis by inhibiting prolonging of peptide chains when acting on 50 S subunits of bacteria ribosomes for the antibacterial property. There is no cross resistance between lincomycin and other antibiotics, itself with low toxicity, therefore lincomycin and its derivatives are widely used in medical and health industry, it’s one of the important production of antibiotic by pharmaceutical companies in china and abroad. The paper studied on lincomycin fermentation and separation to improve the output of lincomycin and reduce the production cost.In the study of lincomycin fermentation technology, on the one hand, studied the impact on lincomycin fermentation by reducing the air flow rate at middle and later of lincomycin fermentation, the results showed that at the 88 hour that air flow rate could reduce to the lowest at 1:0.4, and then reduce would have great influence of lincomycin fermentation, but then at 144 hour would reduce air flow rate to 1:0.2 has little effect on lincomycin fermentation. on the other hand, the study about the effect of liquefied starch instead of saccharified starch on Streptomyces lincolnensis 13 growth and lincomycin fermentation in basic culture medium and carbohydrate supplement was carried out. The result showed that the hyphae growth not good in the early stage but better in the latter period when using liquefied starch instead of saccharified starch in basic culture medium, and the fermentation titer increased 8.6%. We got the better results when using liquefied starch instead of saccharified starch in basic culture medium and carbohydrate supplement, and the fermentation titer increased 12.4%.In the aspect of lincomycin separation, at present filtration of lincomycin fermentation liquid by most using the frame filter, this process has many shortcomings including the working intensity big, slow filtering, discontinuous, low efficiency, thus the filtrate quality cannot be guaranteed lead to the subsequent process is not stable. The ceramic membrane separation technique has many advantages include high mechanical strength, strong resistance to acid and alkali, operating at ambient temperature, continuous operation,high separation precision, fast filtration, pellucid filtering liquid, easy to clean and renewable, long service life, et al. Systematically studied the condition of filtration of lincomycin fermentation liquid by using the filtration method of ceramic membrane. The result showed that the recover rate per batch was more than 97% and that the average flux reached 134~140 L/(h·m2) by using the ceramic membrane with a pore diameter of 50 nm and under the conditions of 0.15 MPa of pressure, 4m/s of flowing speed, and adding water at the same volume of crude fermentation liquor to wash fermentation liquor concentrated to 3.5 times volume. The recovery rate of membrane flux was more than 95% by cleaning of alkali and then acid.
