This paper study the area near the south sheltland islands’s sea water and Fildes peninsula’s lake water from sediment’s dissolve organic carbon (DOC) and carbon content, dissolve organic matter’s absorbance, chromophore dissolved organic matter (CDOM)’s EEMs and the sand content of sediment. We can comprehend the South Pole’s terrain deductive process and the effect on the region by people’s action.The concentrations of DOC of the sediment from sea water near the south sheltland islands rang from 8.34 to 37.17 mg/L, the contents of the sediment’s total carbon (TC) and total organic carbon (TOC) rang from 0.21% to 0.87%, from 0.21% to 0.81% respective, all reveal the current that decrease progressively from off-shore to open sea area. The quantitative values of SR in off-shore are higher than that of open sea area, indicate off-shore’s CDOM degree of aging are more intense than open sea area; Three characteristic fluorescence peaks of tryptophan-like R of new hydro-biodegradable product, UV humic-like A of marine-derived, Vis humic-like C of terrestrial sources are showed by Three-dimensional fluorescence spectroscopy (EEMs) of CDOM, P4 show all of the three peaks because of closer to terrene; P4 and P2 appear a higher humic character, the values of biotic index (BIX) rang from 0.57 to 0.91, fluorescence index (FI) rang is from 1.77 to 2.00 are very similar indicate all those station’s CDOM are from endogenesis, and the external source import from terrestrial plant and gein are skimp.The DOC of the sediment from lake water near the Fildes peninsula rang from 5.40 to 53.22mg/L, the sediment’s TC rang from 0.96 to 8.45%, TOC rang from 0.17 to 8.24%, all higher than marine water; The sort of quantitative value of SR is LW1>LW3>LW5>LW4>LW2, demonstrate LWldegree of aging are more intense; The sort of fluorescence intensity is LW5>LW2>LW1>LW3>LW4, those lake stations have excess a peak of tryptophan-like T, the protein-like is more than sea water; The sort of HIX is LW5>LW2>LW4>LW1>LW3, is similar with fluorescence intensity, BIX rang is from 0.55 to 1.18, FI rang is from 1.88 to 2.17, is not change drastic, indicate all those station’s CDOM are from endogenesis too.
