| Polar region is an important part of the Earth system, to monitor and rearch the polar marine environment is important for revealing the rapid changes in the polar marine environment and the Earth's response and feedback on the changes. However, due to the polar climate conditions, the current investigation on polar marine environment is mainly in the summer, using the traditional manner in ship-based surveys, lacking of continuous monitoring data throughout the year. Arctic coastal marine environment monitoring system is a long-term, continuous monitoring system that relies on trial in China Antarctic Great Wall Station, the system long-term monitors the seawater temperature, salinity, depth, pH, PAR, ORP, chlorophyll and currents. This article focus on the purpose of real-time transmission of data between PC and lower machine of polar near-shore marine environment monitoring system, and design the controlling software of PC.Polar marine environment monitoring system is divided into the underwater part and control part on the shore. Underwater part compose of sensors and underwater control modules, function is controlling the various sensors in real-time data sampling and packaging the data, then sending the data to the upper machine. Shore control part compose of the host computer and the UPS components, functions are automatically sending sampling instructions to lower machine, and receiving sampling data for processing. The serial data transmission between Host computer and lower computer is realized by the mature and reliable RS485 bus. Lower computer use C8051F020 MCU, MAX3430 chip transmit C8051F020 serial data to standard RS485 signals, host computer uses the 485TA Converter to do RS485/RS232 conversion. PC control software is developed by VB6.0. Functional design is divided into three parts: sending instructions and receiving sampling data; automatically sending e-mail functions; data charting. Precise timing is achieved in the help of Timer controllor, using MSComm to drive serial port to send control commands and receive sampling data, the data received is saved as a text file. Use Timer controllor and Jmail components to sent e-mail automatically, use the data file named of date as message attachments. MSChart component plots the sampling data curve.Through laboratory and field deploying and retrieving experiments, data achieved reliable communication requirements. And data was automatically sampled and preserved, e-mail was automatically sent to the specified mailbox, and historical data curves can be at any time viewed. |
