Because of their biodegradability and biocompatibility, aliphatic polyesters are widely used now. Meanwhile, maleic anhydride (MAn) are produced largely and itaconic anhydride(IAn) are prepared via fermentation of biomass resources. Common polycondesation preparation of aliphatic polyesters need high temperature and long teaction time, and it always goes with the problems such as isomerizaiton, low molecular weight and so on. Herein we prepare the unsaturated polyesters via the ring opening polycondensation(ROP) between cyclic anhydrides and diols at moderate temperatures (60-80℃), and the single sided adhesive via the Macheal addition and the UV iraadation.1.Using the catalyst bis(nonafluorobutanesulfonyl)imide (Nf2NH) to prepare the ROP via cyclic anhydrides and diols at moderate temperatures (60-8℃). The synthesized unsaturated polyesters contain carbon-carbon double and the molecular weight can reach 10.7 X 103. Using different catalysts at the same condition, comparing molecular weight of the polyester and the reaction rate, we found that the green catalyst Nf2NH is much better. While changing monomers,reaction time and the amount of catalysts, reaction rate and molecular weight of the polyester are different.2. The maleate units of the polyester can be converted to fumarate units by cis-trans isomerization of the maleate double bonds using diethylamine-catalyzed at room temperature. Alter the solution, the polarity difference contribute to the amount of the cis-trans isomerization.3. To avoid gelation, during the polycondensation of itaconic anhydride with diols, addition of a radical inhibitor is essential. Under the same condition, the amount of the inhibitor affects the molecular weight of the polyester rarely.4. The maleate unit and amino can occour Michael addition at room temperature, and the ratios of double bonds in different solvents participating in Michael addition and isomerization are different.5. IAn units could selectively photo-cross-link to produce gels. Different ratios of IAn to MAn of poly[(IAn-alt-MPD)-co-(MAn-alt-MP-D)], the physical properties of the gels are different.6. Using BA to dissolve poly[(IAn-alt-MPD)-co-(MAn-alt-MPD)] and add amine into it. After UV irradiation, the single sided adhesive formed.
