A new kind of intelligent rheological materials, Magnetorheological fluids(MR fluid),because of its special rheological performance, equipment based on MR fluid, such as damper, has the short response time(millisecond). It is extensively concerned recently. As these advantages such as controllable, fast response and wide work temperature extension, equipments based on magneto rheological fluids, for example, damper, clutch, etc. are applied extensively on aeronautics and astronautics, vehicle engineering, building facilities and military hardware. According to the size of magnetic particles, which is one of MR fluid’s constituent, there have two kinds MR fluid:Micron MR Fluid and nanometer MR fluid. The micron nanometer MR fluid, which contains two different size magnetic particles, micro particles and nanometer particles, has the same preparation method as common MR fluid. The new micro model is built to describe the mechanism of this new micro-nano MR fluid on account of nanosize magnetic particles.Research work has two parts; The first part is aiming to configure micron-nano MR fluid based on composition of MR fluid, influencing factor and rheological mechanism. The second part:Test system special for this kind of MR fluid is designed and realized. By using this system, three important parameters about this kind of MR fluid were attained and analyzed, it is normal force, response time and shear yield stress. The two mechanical parameters were comprised with above-mentioned MR fluid’s parameters. On the fundament ion of micron nanometer MRF’s rheological mechanism and experiment, it is proved that the comprehensive performance of micron-nano MR fluid is excelled than common MR fluid.
