Metal ions were played an important role on biological processes and organisms in the environment. It would affect the growth of self-purification ability of plants and rivers, which were caused by excessive pollution of soil and water environment. If the concentration of metal ions in the human body were imbalanced, it will can cause many illnesses, such as Wilson’s disease. Therefore, it was very important significance to the detection of metal ions. Fluorescence analysis was convenient, high selectivity and sensitivity relative to in situ detection and many other advantages. In recent years, it has been widely used in the detection of metal ions.Rhodamine derivatives was an ideal build-enhanced fluorescence probe chromophore because it has unique structural features and excellent fluorescence properties. Rhodamine fluorescence probe was showed no fluorescence and colorless in general case. However there were significant changes in the color and fluorescence after the effect of guest molecules was open loop. Therefore, rhodamine dye was used in metal ion fluorescence probe design commonly. The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1) Four fluorescent probe was designed and the compounds and a water-soluble better carbazole conjugated polymers was synthesized. All of them were characterized by 1HNMR, IR and a series of methods.(2)The four compounds were tested in different polar solvents with UV absorption spectra, fluorescence spectroscopy and single photon. To analysis of different solvents on the UV absorption spectra of the compounds, the impact of single-photon fluorescence spectra and fluorescence quantum yield were calculated.(3) To test the ion selectivity of the four Schiff-base compounds, as well as analysis by UV fluorescence spectroscopic properties,15 kinds of metal ions were used for testing. The four probes could identify the copper ion specifically and observe by the naked eye. Therefore, more in-depth discussion of the four probe compounds copper ion detection sensitivity and detection limits were analyzed and calculated. At last, the mode of action of the probe binding constants with metal ions wered analyzed and predicted.
