Terahertz band lies between microwave and infrared light. Through the study of material properties in the terahertz band, can understand more material properties.Phosphor material identification and quality control has been facing problems of phosphor materials market. Phosphor material identification methods, spectroscopy is a very important one, but spectrometry identification of phosphor materials, mostly concentrated in the near-infrared spectral bands, so the THz spectroscopy is used to study infrared phosphor material an important supplement to identify phosphor materials. Classification and identification technology is a key determinant of the identification results. Support vector machine is the rise in recent years, a classification technique, because based on solid mathematical theory, and has a fast, accurate, good anti-noise performance and is particularly effective for small samples, etc., so successfully applied to many areas of research. In this paper, support vector machine technology and terahertz spectroscopy technology, applied to the study of the phosphor material identification and quantitative analysis, and achieved satisfactory results.Thesis on eight samples of inorganic phosphor material first spectroscopic studies.Although the spectral curve of eight inorganic phosphor material samples are very similar, but entirely by the support vector machine technology, they can be identified.Also inorganic phosphors and polyethylene composite samples for quantitative analysis,get a good prediction. Then, using terahertz spectroscopy system for the transmission spectra of two organic phosphor materials were studied, got their characteristic absorption in the terahertz frequency peaks. Finally, a mixture of two organic phosphors regression to predict the mass ratio, and achieved satisfactory results. Therefore, support vector machines and terahertz spectroscopy is an effective way of combining rapid identification and analysis of phosphor materials.
