With the excellent mechanical properties, the continuity of production process and the recyclable enviromental protection, continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic sheet has been used to replace part of the fiber reinforced thermosetting plastic sheet. The thermoplastic composite honeycomb panel which with continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic laminated sheet and thermoplastic honeycomb core is a new type of high strength lightweight panel. It can be widely used in transportation, construction, and other "people’s livelihood" areas.In this paper, three kinds of continuous glass fiber/polypropylene laminated sheet were prepared by molding process. The continuous glass fiber/polypropylene laminated sheet composite honeycomb panel was prepared with laminated sheet and circular polypropylene honeycomb core by melt adhesive method. The preparation technology of laminated sheet and the composite honeycomb panel, the influence of structure parameters on the mechanical properties of laminated sheet and composite honeycomb panel were researched. The different failure modes of laminated sheet and composite honeycomb panel were studied. The concrete conclusion is as follows:(1) Continuous glass fiber/polypropylene mixed yarn laminated sheet, unidirectional laminated sheet and cross laminated sheet were prepared by optimized mould pressing process parameters. The influence of layer, fiber configuration angle on laminated sheet mechanical property was researched. Interlaminar shear property of laminated sheet was improved by inserting PP thin layer and PP-g-MAH thin layer.(2) Composite honeycomb panels were prepared by hot pressing fusing with different laminated sheet. The influence of panel structure (panel type, layer and different laminate orientation), honeycomb core structure (height, thickness and aperture of honeycomb core) on composite honeycomb panel mechanical property was studied.(3) The different tensile & bending failure forms of continuous glass fiber/polypropylene laminated sheet, and its causes was analyzed. And then compression failure and different bending & lateral pressure failure of continuous glass fiber/polypropylene laminated sheet composite honeycomb panel were researched.
