The preparation method of polymer-supported phosphonic acids(PSPAs) and pH buffer action were investigated. Firstly, PSPAs were prepared through an Arbuzov-type reaction, and determined by FT-IR and SEM. The maximum group capacity of the resin which was measured by potentiometric titration was 9.52 mmol/g. PSPAs show high buffer activity in pH range 4-6, and which can be separated easily and reused effectively. The new buffers were examined for its ability to control pH of acidic phosphatase catalytic hydrolysis reaction of dihydroxyacetone phosphate ester and its derivatives. There were no significant difference in pH buffer action between acetic acid and PSPAs.Secondly, we developed a series of difunctional matrix composites containing phosphonic acids groups, such as:phosphonic acid-carboxy, phosphoric acid-tertiary amine, phosphonic acid-quaternary amine, phosphonic acid-sulfonic acid by copolymerization and blending methods. We found the first group has obvious effect on the yield of subsequent link group, especially reduce the hydrolysis reaction yield of the second group, which was attributed to reducing the activity of hydrolysis reagent in polymer material.
