Polystyrene sheet is widely used in the field of building’s exterior wall, but polystyrene board is easy to burn, the main flame retardant of EPS is containing halogen flame retardant, combustion will produce large amounts of toxic smoke and gas, so it is important to EPS of halogen free flame retardant research. Expandable graphite is a new kind of expansion type flame retardant, which has excellent flame retardant,halogen-free, environmental protection, etc.EG with different halogen free flame retardant synergistic flame retardant is a kind of effective method of halogen-free flame retardant, especially for flame retardant EPS has the very good application prospect.In this paper, by using the limit oxygen index as a flame retardant properties of EPS insulation board test indicators, EG, A, C, D and E, FA, EP and IFR halogen-free flame retardant effect on the properties of EPS insulation board flame retardant, and further studied the EG with different flame retardants in different addition amount of synergistic flame retardant effect than EPS insulation board, and explore the EG/APP/RP flame retardant system on the properties of EPS insulation board flame retardant effect and mechanical impact, using TGA and SEM the APP, the RP and EG for EPS insulation board and association, flame retardant mechanism of flame retardant.The main conclusions are as follows:(1) EG, A and C flame retardant effect of EPS board is significant in the different halogen-free flame retardants, oxygen index is 26.2%, 24.9% and 23.8%, the rest of the several kinds of halogen-free flame retardant limited only to enhance EPS insulation board oxygen index.(2) EG with A and C for EPS insulation board synergistic flame retardant effect is obvious, oxygen index is 28.5% and 27.5%, other halogen-free flame retardants and the synergistic flame retardant effect of EG is not significant.(3) Adding flame retardant system of EG/A/C 15% / 40% / 5% respectively, and the EPS insulation board oxygen index was 33.5%, the tensile strength of 0.1724 MPa.(4) Flame retardant system of EG/A/C can be delayed retardant EPS System weight loss temperature and reduce thermal weight loss rate, enhance the stability and expansion of the carbon layer density, significantly increased the amount of carbon residue after combustion, the flame retardant system has excellent flame retardant effect.
