With the rapid development of the economic society and expanding populations, a large number of the treated sanitary waste, industrial wastewater and agricultural wastewater as low pollution water were poured into surface water bodies. It resulted in eutrophication of surface water and affected the function of water body and natural ecological environment. The carbon fiber was a new type of environmental material and was gave gradually attention in the field of water treatment.The application of carbon fiber materials in water treatment are studied in this paper, which was based on the view of the present status of the water environment pollution in China. This thesis researched on these problems: The purification effect of water treatment to synthetic wastewater by artificial wetland processing unit with new type of carbon fiber material. The pollutant removal efficiency was influenced with many factors, such as temperature, p H, hydraulic retention time and packing quantity. The purification effect of tail water treated with carbon fiber. It researches the formation process of biofilm of carbon fiber. The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Through comparing the four different packing has found that the carbon fiber had a high adsorbability and biocompatibility, it could removed pollutants effectively and the highest removal rate of TN, NH4+-N, CODMn could respectively reach 56.2%,92.1%,98.8%.(2)Through laboratory simulation study of carbon fiber for packing of artificial wetland to low contaminated water denitrification effect. Temperature and hydraulic retention time, p H and packing quantity influence on water purification, water purification effect and the optimal parameters are researched practical processing effect of tail water of sewage factory. Results showed that when the parameters are within the scope of the following, the temperature of 25~30℃, water p H7.5 ~ 8.0,hydraulic retention time is 8 hours, carbon fiber quantity is 500 g/m3, at this time of the simulated wastewater treatment unit of TN, NH4+-N, CODMn removal effect is best; When the parameters are the optimal value of the simulated wastewater treatment unit of TN, NH4+-N, CODMn highest removal rate reached 54%,84% and 90% respectively, treatment effect steadily.(3)Study on the effect under the optimal parameters water treatment and practical treatment of sewage tail water. When dealing with low pollution water,it found that C/N(COD/TN)have certain effects on low pollution water treatment effect, when low pollution water nutrient C/N increased by 0.7~1 to 5, pollutant removal efficiency increases, the removal rate of TN, NH4+-N, CODMn by 19%, 24%,39% increased to 50%, 76%, 83% respectively.
