A number of complex fault block reservoirs are distributed in China, they are more difficult to exploit due to the complexity of geological structure and oil-water relations of complex fault block compared with the conventional reservoir,it is of great importance to improve the complex fault block reservoir development effectiveness and reservoir recovery by targeting the geological and development characteristics of complex fault block, a comprehensive analysis of the impact of various factors on the block reservoir development law, and to study the distribution of the remaining oil in a complex fault block. In this paper, L17 fault block reservoir is taken as the research object and the study on development law and remaining oil distribution of complex fault block reservoir is carried out. This paper dose research on reservoir development law in two aspects, one is the law of capacity decreasing, the other is the law of water drive development, through the statistical analysis of the actual reservoir development data, modern reservoir engineering theories are taken as the research method, the capacity characteristics of L17 fault block are analyzed, the law of capacity decreasing is studied and the effect factors of capacity decreasing are carried on a systematic analysis, the effective ways to slow down capacity decreasing are put forward, the single well stimulation is analyzed and evaluated; L17 fault block water content characteristics are analyzed, this paper predicted for recovery based on experience formula method, tong’s plate method, water drive characteristic curve method and production decline method, and finally get the water drive recovery comprehensively, the waterflooding development effect of L17 fault block reservoir is evaluated by analyzing and researching waterflooding exploitation targets such as the water storage rate, the water drive reserves control degree and the water drive reserves producing degree. The remaining oil distribution model and controlling factors of L17 fault block are researched qualitatively by analyzing the physical properties of reservoir, sedimentation characteristics, structural characteristics and development characteristics etc, the remaining oil distribution of L17 fault block is evaluated and predicted quantitatively by making use of the remaining oil distribution of the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation theory.
